In a major crackdown, 30 wanted criminals from Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Punjab, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and even Nepal are currently on the radar of Udham Singh Nagar police. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Manikant Mishra has directed station incharges to arrest these absconders, who are wanted for heinous crimes including murder, robbery, theft, dacoity, kidnapping, rape, and fraud.
The district, notorious for having the highest crime rate in the division, has seen these criminals evade arrest after committing serious offenses. “We have declared rewards on several of these absconders, and strict instructions have been given to both local police stations and the Special Operations Group (SOG) to ensure their arrest,” said SSP Mishra.
Out of the 30 absconders, significant rewards have been declared for several high-profile criminals. Sarabjit Singh, a resident of Tarn Taran, Punjab, has a reward of ₹2 lakh on his head. Gyanesh from Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, and Lokendra Singh Khati alias Lucky from New Delhi each carry a ₹50,000 reward. Archana, also from Prayagraj, has a ₹50,000 bounty.
In addition, other criminals with rewards of ₹10,000 to ₹50,000 include individuals from Rudrapur, Kashipur, Sitarganj, Khatima, and several other areas. Among them are Harjeet Singh from Kashipur, Rinku Sharma from Madhya Pradesh, and Devendra Dhanuk from Nepal.
“The district police and SOG are actively pursuing these criminals, and we expect to make arrests soon,” SSP Mishra added, assuring citizens of the ongoing efforts to bring the culprits to justice.
