The family of the INLD Chief Nafe Singh Rathee who was shot dead in Jhajjar, Haryana a day back, refused permission for post-mortem until the culprits are apprehended. Jitendra Rathee, the deceased leader’s son, accused local BJP leaders of involvement and demanded swift action from the authorities. Despite repeated requests for security, the family alleged that the police failed to provide adequate protection.
Jitendra Rathee emphasized, “We will not allow post-mortem until justice is served. The involvement of local BJP leaders cannot be ignored, and we urge authorities to act promptly.”
Kapoor Rathee, Nafe Singh’s nephew, echoed the sentiment, stressing the need for justice before any post-mortem procedure. The family’s concerns over security lapses were highlighted, as they claim their requests for protection went unanswered.
The Haryana police have initiated an investigation, registering a case against four individuals linked to the murder. Assuring swift action, they mentioned efforts to arrest the culprits and collect evidence from CCTV cameras and other sources. The INLD leadership held the BJP government responsible, urging a thorough CBI investigation and questioning the government’s handling of security concerns.
The situation remains tense as the political fallout intensifies, with the family demanding justice and a comprehensive probe into the assassination.
