Excise Department Raids and Destroys Illegal Liquor Manufacturing Unit in Khatima

Under a special enforcement drive, the Excise Department of Uttarakhand, Area-02 Khatima, conducted a successful raid on an illegal liquor manufacturing base operating near a drain by Basgar village in Shakti Farm, Sitarganj. The operation was carried out following directives from Excise Commissioner Uttarakhand and instructions from District Excise Officer Rajiv Singh Chauhan.

 

During the raid, the Excise Crime Prevention team destroyed two active furnaces used to produce illegal liquor and seized 40 liters of raw liquor. Additionally, around 2200 kg of raw materials used for manufacturing liquor was destroyed on-site.

“This campaign reflects our firm stance against illegal liquor activities in the region,” stated District Excise Officer Rajiv Singh Chauhan. “We will continue to take decisive actions to eliminate these illicit operations.”

Present at the site were Excise Inspector Lalu Ram, Deputy Excise Inspector Mahesh Singh Rana, Chief Excise Constable Nitesh Bhardwaj, and Constables Deepak Chandra and Pankaj Joshi.
