Delhi. A massive fire broke out in a four-storey house in Shastri Nagar of Geeta Colony in the early hours of Thursday. The fire was so severe that many people got trapped. Fell unconscious due to smoke filling the house.
According to the latest information, till now 4 people including 2 children have been reported dead due to the fire.
These people died
(1) Manoj, age 30 years
(2) Suman, age 28 years, wife of Manoj
(3) Five year old girl, daughter Rakesh
(4) Three and a half year old girl, daughter of Rakesh
According to the information, all four people died in the hospital. The bereaved family is present in the hospital. Manoj lived on the ground floor with his family. The fire started from here.
Earlier, as soon as information about the fire was received, fire brigade and police teams reached the spot. Four vehicles parked in the parking lot were burnt due to the fire. The police somehow controlled the fire.
Police rescued nine people. This includes four women, two children and three men. Everyone was admitted to Dr. Hedgewar Hospital. The condition of everyone is said to be serious.
District Police Deputy Commissioner Surendra Chaudhary said that information about fire was received at 5:22 am in street number 22 of Shastri Nagar. The street was narrow, so fire brigade vehicles had a lot of difficulty in reaching the spot. Here flats are built in a house of 111 yards. People were sleeping at the time of the accident. Some people saved their lives by running on the roof, those who were trapped were rescued. The cause of the fire has not been known
