As the countdown begins for the upcoming elections for the Nainital Udham Singh Nagar parliamentary seat scheduled for April 19th, the political arena is heating up with fervent exchanges between parties.
In a press conference convened at the Rudrapur Congress election office, Congress District President Himanshu Gaba took a strong stance against the BJP candidate, demanding accountability for the past five years. “Today, the BJP candidate must elucidate his actions during his tenure, including utilization of the MP fund. The public seeks answers, yet silence prevails from the BJP camp,” remarked Gaba.
Echoing similar sentiments, the District President of Kashipur region of Aam Aadmi Party, Sanjay Vyapar, highlighted concerns over inflation and corruption, accusing the BJP of religious polarization. “While the nation grapples with economic challenges, the BJP is engrossed in divisive tactics. The unity of various political entities underscores the urgency to safeguard democracy and the Constitution,” asserted Vyapar.
Adding to the chorus, Congress spokesperson Saurabh Chilana launched a scathing attack on the BJP, emphasizing the need for transparency and accountability. “Under Congress governance, dissent was acknowledged, but the BJP regime turns a blind eye to voices against inflation, corruption, and unemployment,” stated Chilana.
AAP state secretary Kulwinder Singh also expressed apprehension, alleging a systematic erosion of secular values under the Modi administration. “The attempted removal of the word ‘secular’ from the Constitution is an assault on the foundational principles of our nation,” remarked Singh.
With the elections fast approaching, the political landscape of Nainital Udham Singh Nagar remains charged, promising a spirited contest for parliamentary representation.
