“As part of the investigation into the Rameshwaram Cafe Blast dated March 1 at ITPL Road in Bengaluru, the NIA has identified the accused person who carried out the IED blast as one Mussavir Hussain
Shazib and co-conspirator as Abdul Matheen Taahaa, both residents of Thirthahalli in Shivamogga district,” NIA said in its statement.

The NIA, which took charge of the Rameshwaram Cafe blast case on March 13, had previously arrested Muzammil Shareef, believed to be the main
mastermind of the blast. Shareef’s arrest followed raids in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh
The prime suspect, Mussavir Shazeeb Hussain, and co-conspirator Abdul Matheen Taha are yet to be arrested.
The blast at the eatery on ITPL road in Bengaluru’s Brookefield area on March 1 involved an IED, causing injuries to customers and staff and damaging the establishment.
