Pantnagar.6 April, 2024. The College of Agribusiness Management (CABM) recently hosted its inaugural alumni meet, ‘YUGM,’ commemorating 25 glorious years since the inception of its pioneer batch. Held on March 6, 2024, this momentous occasion brought together esteemed alumni from across the globe to reconnect, reminisce, and celebrate their alma mater’s journey.
The programme commenced with a ceremonial lighting of the traditional lamp by the Chief Guest of the Evening Dr. M.S. Chauhan, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, esteemed guest of honour Dr. V.P.S. Arora, Founder Dean CABM, including, Dr. R.S. Jadaun, Dean CABM, and alongside other distinguished officials of the college Dr. Ashutosh Singh, Dr. Mukesh Pandey, Dr. Saurabh Singh, Dr. Nirdesh Singh, Dr. Reetika Bhatt and Dr. Sneha Dohare. As the university song echoed through the hall, sentiments of nostalgia filled the air, setting the tone for a day filled with reminiscence and celebration. Following this poignant moment, Dr. R.S. Jadaun, Dean CABM, hailed alumini as the “torch bearers” of the college’s legacy. He expressed full confidence in their ability to uphold the institution’s renowned standards of excellence. A call was made for alumni to step forward as mentors and guides, inspiring and empowering the next generation to follow in their footsteps. The emphasis was placed on the invaluable role alumni can play in shaping students’ careers and preparing them for the challenges that lie ahead and extended a warm welcome to the alumni, expressing appreciation for their zeal in assembling for the meet despite their busy schedules. He emphasized the importance of their continued involvement in shaping the future of the institute.
The event featured an array of engaging programs meticulously organized by the current batch, including Ganesh Vandana, poetry recitation, a skit depicting student life in Pantnagar during the early years, vibrant dance performances, and a captivating band show. The highlight of the event was the sharing of experiences, aptly named “Anubhav,” by distinguished alumni who have left an indelible mark in their respective fields. Following these captivating performances, the event culminated with an address by CABM’s esteemed founder, Dr. V.P.S Arora. He shared insightful anecdotes and wisdom garnered from his vast experience, inspiring both alumni and current students alike to strive for excellence and uphold the values of the institution. His speech resonated deeply with the audience, reaffirming their commitment to the ideals instilled by CABM. Immersive interactions between alumni and current students facilitated a seamless blend of nostalgia and contemporary discourse. Notable alumni from the pioneer batch of 1998, such as Divyank Srivastava (Director at Apptad Inc.), Rohit Bhatia (Head of Techno-Marketing Services (South Asia) at EW Nutrition), Naresh Kiraula (Business Manager at Wembley Zambia Limited), Manoj Suyal (Assistant Vice President at Axis Bank Ltd), Puja Saklani Haridas(Associate Director of Human Resources at Pfizer ), Nitesh Sachan (State Head at CNH Industrial), Mohit Jain (Head of Business Operations at Dhingra Trucking Pvt Ltd), Inderjeet Singh (Business Head at Aryadhan Financial Solutions Pvt Ltd), Puja Saxena (Joint Director of Horticulture at HETC Company Garden) and Aradhana Tripathi (Managing director Doggy World Ventures Pvt Ltd.) and virtually joined alumni were Vipul Gupta (Business Head Den Networks Ltd), Ratan Deep Goswami (Global Digital Product Solutions lead at Bayer), Lalit Khulbe (Director Administrator at UPL) and Aditi Bass showcased their remarkable achievements, inspiring the present students and fostering a sense of pride in their alma mater. As the event drew to a close, promises to reunite and contribute back to their beloved institute were made, and the evening concluded on a note of gratitude and anticipation for future gatherings.
