At a time when most of India was asleep, Uttarakhand’s shining star Mukesh Pal made the nation proud on American soil. Representing India at the prestigious World Police and Fire Games 2025 in Birmingham, USA, Pal clinched a bronze medal in the qualifier round with a powerful performance, securing his place in the much-anticipated final scheduled for July 6.

Pal, a sub inspector with Uttarakhand Police, defied all odds to compete at the global stage — especially after recovering from a serious hand injury that had once threatened his sporting career. Undeterred, he displayed extraordinary grit and determination, continuing the legacy of his previous achievement in Colombia, where he turned bronze into gold.

As news of his victory reached India, celebrations erupted in Uttarakhand, especially in Haldwani, his hometown. Locals, colleagues, and supporters have expressed their unwavering belief that Mukesh will bring home the gold this time too.

Speaking from the USA, Pal said, “This bronze is just the beginning. I am determined to convert it into gold in the finals. My best performance is yet to come.”

Inspector General of Police (Kumaon Range), Ridhim Aggarwal, lauded Pal’s inspiring journey and said, “Mukesh’s achievement is a moment of immense pride for Uttarakhand Police. Competing at an international level despite injury shows his courage and devotion. We stand firmly behind him and wish him victory in the final.”

All eyes are now set on July 6, when Mukesh Pal will take to the arena once again — this time, with gold in his sight and a nation rallying behind him.
