Three junior Pencak Silat players from Rudrapur city – Brijesh Rajput, Divagam Singh, and Anchal Verma – are going to represent India in the 3rd Asian Junior Pencak Silat Championship 2025. This prestigious championship will be held from September 25 to September 30, 2025, under the aegis of the Indian Pencak Silat Federation at the Sher-e-Kashmir Indoor Sports Stadium, Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.
Bablu Diwaker, Secretary of the Pencak Silat Association Uttarakhand and coach of the players, said that the selection of these three junior players from Rudrapur for the Asian Championship is a matter of great pride. This achievement has brought joy to the sports fraternity of Uttarakhand. The Pencak Silat Association Uttarakhand is confident that these players will perform exceptionally well in the championship and win medals, bringing glory to Rudrapur, Uttarakhand, and the country on the international stage.
Coach Diwaker said that these players have made intense preparations for this competition by practicing 6 to 8 hours daily, morning and evening, at Diwaker Sports and Fitness Academy. More than 500 selected players from 21 countries of Asia will arrive in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir on September 23, where these players will showcase their talent at the international level.
