Pantnagar. September 14, 2025. Pravah program was organized on the occasion of Hindi Day by the Sanskritik Chetna Parishad Professional Society in the university. The main objective of the program was to highlight the importance and richness of Hindi language among the students of the university. Under the program, Aksharshansh-Poem writing competition, Pragyaatm-Quiz competition (first and second phase), Shastrarth-Speech competition and Katha Kalpana-Story writing and reading competition were organized. The students displayed their talent brilliantly in these competitions. The winners were honoured by the chief guest by presenting certificates and medals.
The program started with the welcome address of Dean Student Welfare Dr. Anand Singh Jeena. After this, the Vice-Chancellor of the University Dr. Manmohan Singh Chauhan addressed the students. He said that Hindi is our mother tongue as well as an expression of our culture and identity. We should not only adopt it in a simple form, but also make it an integral part of our daily life. Our thinking, our culture and our sensitivities are expressed through language. Therefore, I urge the students to adopt Hindi with pride and play an active role in its promotion. Committee advisor Dr. Vinita Rathore thanked the guests and the people present. On this occasion, Dean Agriculture College Dr. Subhash Chandra, Director Communication Dr. J. P. Jaiswal, In-charge Physical Education Dr. N. K. Singh, Co-Dean Student Welfare Dr. Chhaya Shukla, Dr. Amit Kesarwani, Dr. Manindra Mohan and Shri Adarsh Dangwal along with other dignitaries were present.
