Chhattisgarh: 4 killed as passenger train collides with goods train near Bilaspur

NEW DELHI: A passenger train coach hit a goods train near Chhattisgarh’s Bilaspur station on Tuesday, killing four people and leaving several others injured in the incident, as news agency ANI reported.

Measures are being taken to ensure the

treatment of the injured. In a video showing the aftermath of the train collision, one train coach is seen lifted and resting atop another, with its front end crumpled from the impact.

MEMU (Mainline Electric Multiple Unit train) train coach hit a goods train near Bilaspur station at about 16:00 hours. Two people have been injured in the incident. Railways have moved all the resources, and all measures are being ensured for the treatment of the injured, reported news agency ANI citing Railway officials.
