ROHTAK/ FATEHGARH SAHIB: In a remarkable display of skill and determination, athletes from Divakar Sports Fitness Academy and Kumau University Nainital brought laurels to the institution by securing one silver and one bronze medal in the All India Inter University Men and Women Pencak Silat Championship 2026.
Chetan Prajapati clinched the silver medal in the 70-75 kg category, while Sunita Bhatt bagged the bronze medal in the fighting event held at Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, Haryana, and Guru Nanak College, Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab, respectively.
Upon their return to Rudrapur, the athletes were given a warm welcome by Divakar Sports and Fitness Academy coach, Babulu Divakar. “This is a proud moment for us, as both athletes performed exceptionally well in their debut All India Inter University tournament, making us proud,” said Coach Divakar.
Kewal Kishan Bharti, President, Pencak Silat Association Uttarakhand, and Rahul, Treasurer, praised the athletes’ achievement and assured them of all possible support. 🌟
