Pantnagar, May 28, 2026. A special two-day Alumni Workshop will be organized at Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar on June 26 and 27, 2026. Vice-Chancellor Dr. S.K. Kashyap informed that the main objective of this special event is to establish stronger interaction among the university’s alumni, teachers, scientists, researchers, industry experts, and students while providing new direction to innovation, technical collaboration, and institutional development.
The Vice-Chancellor held a detailed discussion regarding the alumni workshop with the Deans of various colleges, Directors, and members of the University Technical and Planning Cell. Distinguished alumni of the university, who are excelling in different fields across India and abroad, will be invited to the workshop so that their experiences, achievements, and suggestions may inspire current students and researchers. The programme is also expected to witness the participation of several distinguished guests, including the Hon’ble Chief Minister and Hon’ble Governor of Uttarakhand.
He stated that the workshop would not be limited to an alumni reunion alone but would also focus on the university’s future roadmap, technological advancement, and strengthening its national identity. Special technical sessions will be organized on important subjects such as agriculture, animal husbandry, fisheries, hatchery, artificial intelligence, research and technology, startups, innovation, patents, seed production, outreach activities, and industry-academia collaboration.
Different colleges of the university will present their research achievements, innovations, and technological developments. In addition, special PR material, attractive brochures, and literature highlighting the university’s achievements, research accomplishments, and technological progress are being prepared. Special “PR Bags” will also be provided to visitors and distinguished guests to familiarize them with the university’s achievements.
The Illustrious alumni participating in the programme will interact with university students to provide insights regarding industry experience, research networking, internships, entrepreneurship, startups, and new employment opportunities. During the workshop, extensive discussions will also be held on the university’s development model, technological collaborations, partnerships with industries, research extension, innovation-based programmes, and employment-oriented initiatives. Special emphasis will also be laid on developing a strong network between the university and the industrial sector.
The Vice-Chancellor stated that with the special support of distinguished alumni, this event would play an important role in taking Pantnagar University to new heights of innovation, research, and technological excellence at the national level, while further strengthening the university’s glorious legacy.
