Mumbai’s first underground metro line, the ‘Aqua Line’ (Colaba-Bandra-SEEPZ), will begin operations on July 24, a MyGov.in update said on July 17

The 33.5 km line will run from Aarey Colony to Cuffe Parade and will have 27 stops. Th  new line is set to transform urban transitMumbai, making travel easier across the city’s streets and cutting down traffic congestion, the post further said

Mumbai is set for a transformative change in its transportation network with the launch of its first underground metro line in July.

The cost involved in Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC)’s ambitious project is Rs 37,000 crore. The completion of the entire project, including the second phase of the tunnel, is likely to take another few months.
