In a decisive move to eradicate illegal liquor production, the Excise Crime Prevention Zone 03 Kashipur team, led by District Excise Officer Rajiv Singh Chauhan, conducted a major operation in the forests near Patrampur Bhogpur Dham. Acting on precise intelligence, the team targeted known hotspots for illicit liquor production in Kashipur’s villages, Barkhedi and Khaikheda.
During the raid, officials dismantled three active distilleries, recovered 140 liters of illegally manufactured liquor, and destroyed approximately 9,500 kg of raw materials on-site. Legal action has been initiated against three unidentified individuals under Section 60 of the Excise Act, intensifying efforts to curb unauthorized liquor activities in the region.
District Excise Officer Rajiv Singh Chauhan emphasized the department’s commitment to combating such offenses, stating, “Our campaign will continue relentlessly until all illegal liquor centers are eliminated. We are determined to enforce the law and protect our community from the dangers posed by these unlawful operations.”
The raid involved an extensive team including Sonu Singh, Excise Inspector Kashipur, Diwakar Chaudhary, Excise Inspector Rudrapur, Brajesh Narayan Joshi, Excise Inspector Enforcement, and other excise personnel. Further combing operations are expected to follow in nearby areas.
