Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Udham Singh Nagar, Manikant Mishra, organized a special parade on Friday at the Police Line parade ground to promote physical and mental fitness among police personnel. The event aimed to instill discipline and uniformity in the force.
The parade began with an inspection by SSP Mishra, who assessed the readiness and discipline of the police personnel. Following the inspection, he led by example, running alongside the officers to emphasize the importance of physical fitness. “A fit police force is essential for maintaining law and order. I urge every officer to prioritize their health to better serve the public,” SSP Mishra said.
The training included running, drills, weapon handling, squad drills, and riot control exercises. These activities were designed to enhance the force’s operational capabilities while fostering teamwork and discipline.
“The inclusion of fitness activities in our routine ensures we remain physically agile and mentally alert,” said a participating officer. The SSP’s active involvement in the drills inspired enthusiasm among the cops.
The initiative resonates the importance of physical fitness in building an effective police force, setting an example for all cops across the state.
