Here medicine was sprayed on crops with drone

Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation, Dehradun organized a drone spraying demonstration and farmer seminar in Echla and Fateu villages of Chakrata. M Shankar, Principal Investigator of Agricultural Drone Project at ICAR-IISWC, apart from giving information to the farmers about the schemes related to drones, also gave information about spraying of chemicals and nutrients from drones. Other officials of the institute informed the farmers about the benefits of spraying with drones.

Echla village head Sunil shared his views on drone technology and helped farmers in demonstrating drones on their fields. During the demonstration, drones were sprayed on crops including peas, wheat, barley, garlic and onion in the fields of farmers of Ichla, Fateu, Phata and Samalta villages. Around 40 farmers participated in the program organized in villages adopted under the TSP scheme of the institute and executed under the Drone Demonstration Project.
