Nine agricultural science centers of the university have set up a joint stall showcasing the story of sustainable and holistic agricultural development in the state. The “Shri Ann” (coarse cereals) section attracts farmers with displays of major coarse cereals such as sorghum, pearl millet, finger millet, and minor coarse cereals like sawa, kakun, china, kutki, and kodo millet. The stall also exhibits the dimensions of high-value protected agriculture through beekeeping and mushroom production. Information on hydroponic farming is provided at the stall. Alongside organically grown fruits and vegetables, food processing products like jams, pickles, processed food items, handloom products, and candles are displayed to demonstrate nutritional security and supplementary family income. The stall also features various products made from mandua by women’s self-help groups of Uttarakhand. The College of Agriculture stall presents models prepared by students on “Smart Agriculture and Digital Revolution for Prosperous Farmers,” raising awareness among farmers. Additionally, various firms at the fair offer special discounts and subsidies on agricultural machinery.
