Jain Global School, Rudrapur celebrated its annual Sports Day with great enthusiasm on Children’s Day. The event commenced with a grand march past, as students saluted the chief guest, Shri Nagendra Prasad Sharma, Sports Officer, Kumaon University, Nainital. The inauguration was marked by the ceremonial lighting of the torch by Shri Sharma, school chairman Shri Pushkar Raj Jain, school manager, and Principal Shri Deepak Gupta.
Following the opening ceremony, Principal Gupta administered the sportsmanship oath to house representatives, formally declaring the competition open. The day featured a variety of sports and cultural events, with students displaying remarkable energy on the playground. Among the cultural performances, a dumbbell drill, Zumba dance, group song, and basketball dance captivated the audience and earned thunderous applause.
The chief guest encouraged students to embrace sports as a vital part of life. “Sports not only strengthen the body but also instill sportsmanship and discipline,” Shri Sharma emphasized. School chairman Shri Jain expressed gratitude to parents and assured them of more such events in the future. Principal Gupta added, “Sports are essential for physical and mental growth, and they teach discipline and teamwork.”
The event also included sports competitions for parents, adding to the day’s excitement.
