Dr. Manmohan Singh Chauhan has been given a six-month extension for the post of Vice-Chancellor of G.B Pant Agricultural and Technology University, Pantnagar. Dr. Chauhan’s three-year term is ending on 28th August 2025. This decision has been taken by the Hon’ble Chancellor of the University, Lt Gen Gurmit Singh. At present, the process of appointment of a new Vice-Chancellor is still going on, which is likely to take time. With this extension, Dr. Chauhan will take over as the Vice-Chancellor of the University from 29th August 2025 for the next six months or until a new Vice-Chancellor is selected. This move will ensure continuity in the conduct of academic activities of the university. Director Communication, Dr. J.P. Jaiswal said that this good news was received today during the 403rd Academic Council meeting of the University and all the members of the Academic Council present in the meeting expressed happiness and congratulated the Vice-Chancellor for this achievement.
