Uttarakhand Gas Leak: Eight women
fainted due to chemical leakage in Agron Remedies drug factory located on Moradabad Road in Uttarakhand on
Thursday. According to jagran.com, they have been admitted to a private hospital. Two of them are in critical condition.
According to the report, the company management is saying that on Thursday evening, while working in the drug factory, suddenly the chemical used for making syrup fell on the ground. As a result, some women present there started having
health related problems due to the smell of the chemical.

Among the workers who were immediately sent to a private hospital located on Moradabad Road are Asha Devi (42), Kanchan Saini (35), Asha Devi (33), Meena (40), Anita Yadav (22), Kashish (18), Chanchal (31) and Neha (32) fainted. According to the report, the condition of Asha and Kashish is critical. Pankaj Saini said that the condition of others is improving. He added that they will be discharged soon.

Reacting to the incident, Manish Singh, HR Head, Agron Remedies Medicine Factory said that eight women suffered problems due to the smell of the syrup chemical which fell on the ground and they were immediately admitted to the hospital. He added that all of them are being given the best possible treatment. There is no gas leakage or any other reason for this, he further said.
The Tehsildar of Kashipur, Pankaj Chandola, said the incident that took place at Agron Remedies pharmaceutical factory has come to his notice and added that t information in this
regard has been sought from the fomanagement. An administrative inquiry
has been conducted to confirm the reason behind the incident.
