Pantnagar. The ‘Deeksharambh’ induction program was organized at Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar in the Gandhi Auditorium. Addressing the newly admitted students, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Manmohan Singh Chauhan said that this university is Asia’s largest and the country’s first agricultural university, founded by the nation’s first Prime Minister, He emphasized that studying here is a matter of great fortune, as it is due to the university’s contributions that the nation today is self-sufficient in food.
The Vice-Chancellor informed the students that the university is enriched with highly experienced scientists and professors proficient in both basic and applied sciences. For the holistic development of students, the university provides facilities such as a well-equipped library, central computing facility, sports grounds, gymnasium, recreation center, numerous research centers, and committees. He urged the freshers to embrace team spirit, networking, and complete dedication towards achieving their goals.
The program was also attended by Director Communication Dr. J.P. Jaiswal, Program Coordinator Dr. Usha Pant, Associate Dean Student Welfare Dr. Chhaya Shukla, Dr. Shefali Massey, and Associate Director of Physical Education Dr. Bhaskar Tiwari.
