Rudrapur Girls Win Gold at Khelo India Junior Pencak Silat National League

Anand (Gujarat): The Asmita Junior National Pencak Silat Girls League 2026 was held at the Yug Purush Sports Complex in Anand, Gujarat, from March 31 to April 2, 2026. The event was organized under the leadership of the Sports Authority of India in collaboration with the Indian Pencak Silat Federation.

Over 500 young female athletes from across the country participated in the competition, showcasing their skills and talent at the national level.

 

A seven-member team from Uttarakhand represented the state and delivered an outstanding performance. In the Pre-Teen Artistic Team Regu event, Mishita Rao, Nandini Deo, and Aradhya Chauhan demonstrated exceptional skill and secured the gold medal, bringing pride to the state.

 

The winners were awarded a cash prize of ₹36,000 by the Sports Authority of India. The medals were presented by Chairman Mohammad Iqbal, Secretary Tariq Zardar, Vice President Philia Thomas, and Alex Thomas.

 

Expressing his happiness, the team’s coach and Secretary of the Pencak Silat Association Uttarakhand, Bablu Diwakar, said,

“Our girls have achieved this milestone through hard work, discipline, and dedication. This victory is a matter of pride for all of Uttarakhand. I am confident that these players will bring laurels to the country at the international level as well. Heartiest congratulations and best wishes to them for a bright future.”

 

This outstanding achievement has generated great enthusiasm among Pencak Silat players across Uttarakhand and has created a positive atmosphere in the state’s sports community.
