Delhi Public School Rudrapur organised a grand Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2026–27 in a vibrant and dignified atmosphere on campus. The ceremony witnessed the oath-taking of the newly elected student council members, who were also conferred with badges symbolising leadership and responsibility.
The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by an impressive march past and colourful cultural performances presented by the students, which captivated the audience comprising dignitaries, parents and faculty members. The newly appointed student council pledged to uphold the ideals, discipline and values of the institution.
The chief guest on the occasion was Devendra Pincha. Other distinguished guests included GST officer Rajneesh Yashasvi and Rajni Yashasvi, Dr Rajeev Kumar, professor and head of the department of surgery at Sushila Tiwari Hospital, and Dr Maitreyi.
Addressing the students, Devendra Pincha emphasised the importance of discipline, honesty and service to the nation. He said leadership is not merely about holding a position, but about inspiring others through one’s actions and conduct. Stressing the importance of holistic development, he highlighted that sports are equally essential alongside academics as they help inculcate confidence, discipline and team spirit among students. He also encouraged students to actively participate in sports along with pursuing academic excellence.
School chairman Surjeet Singh Grover, in his message, said that the aim of education is not confined to academic excellence alone, but also includes nurturing leadership qualities, moral values and self-confidence among students. He congratulated the newly elected student council and urged them to uphold the dignity and values of the institution at all times.
The school management expressed gratitude to all guests and parents for their presence and support, adding that DPS Rudrapur would continue to inspire students towards leadership, confidence and excellence.
