Bhowali/Nainital. Conveying a message of greenery and environmental conservation, the All India Women’s Conference organized a massive tree plantation drive on Wednesday at the Bhowali Sanatorium complex. Social activists, local residents, and representatives from various organizations participated enthusiastically, planting a large number of saplings. On this occasion, saplings of various species were planted under the leadership of social activist and Lake City Welfare Club President, Khashti Bisht. She mentioned that a tree plantation drive is conducted every year during the month of Sawan with the aim of environmental conservation and increasing greenery—an initiative that has been ongoing for years. During the program, several useful and environmentally significant saplings were planted, including Uttis, Pangar, Guava, Pine, Deodar, and Tejpat. Mrs. Khashti Bisht stated that trees not only maintain environmental balance but also promote water conservation, clean air, and biodiversity.
The organizers urged all attendees to regularly care for the planted saplings and to encourage as many people as possible to participate in tree plantation. The event concluded with a collective pledge to protect the environment. A large-scale tree plantation drive was conducted under the leadership of Khashti Bisht, President of the All India Women’s Conference (Bhowali). Maya Pant, Suman Arya, Jyoti Sah, Ritu Kumari, Rachna, Neema Pant, Geeta Bisht, Janki Arya, Dhani Dumka, Asma Parveen, Sujan Rajwar, SS Bisht, Pankaj Kumar, and others were present on the occasion.
